200g 2x2 Twill Hexcel PrimeTex 3k Carbon Fibre (1250mm)

PrimeTex is Hexcel's special 'visual quality' fibre spreading technology and involves spreading the fibres after weaving in order to produce a fabric that is less 'gappy' and more 'closed up' than conventional 3k fabrics, ideal for visual/cosmetic applications but equally suitable for general use.

Other than the special spreading technology (which is a mechanical process, rather than any binder or coating), PrimeTex behaves just like any other dry carbon fibre cloth, in fact, PrimeTex is slightly easier to handle than other carbon cloths because the fibre spreading makes the fabric a little more resistant to distortion during handling.

Typical Uses

This premium quality 3k woven carbon fibre fabric reinforcement is suitable for a wide range of high performance composite reinforcement applications including hand-lamination, vacuum bagging, resin infusion and skinning/overlaminating.

When using only carbon fibre reinforcement in a part you should expect to use several layers of this fabric in each part. None-structural components like body panels and covers will typically require 3-6 layers of a carbon fibre cloth of this weight.

How to Buy

We have limited stocks of this fabric. It is 1.25m (49") wide and sold by the linear metre, which means when you buy a quantity of '1', you will receive a roll of fabric that is 1m x 1.25m (i.e. 1.25m²). The unit price shown is for 1 linear metre but volume discounts automatically apply for larger quantities of fabric.

Please purchase the number of linear metres you require. When purchasing multiple metres the fabric will be rolled to order and supplied in one continuous length on a roll.
