Onderzetters van hars met koffieboon

We are a company started by five students from Lundellska school in Sweden. We started a company as a part of our course.

We wanted to make something out of a residual material that comes from the coffee production. When coffee beans are roasted, a shell that surrounds the coffee bean falls off. This shell is often just being burned so we wanted to take care of this residual material.

To be able to make something out off it without a huge heat press, we needed to combine it with something. So we decided to go with the LB2 bio resin from Easy composites as we wanted something that was bio based and relatively cheap.

Right now in the starting process of the company, we have decided to make drink coasters out of it as they are easy to produce and a small product that can be shipped and sold easily.
