Perma-Grit 6mm Spar Slotter

One of our favourite Perma-Grit tools is this 6mm Spar Slotter. Incredibly useful for any slotting application (we use it every day to put the inlet slot in our bonnet scoop) this tool is also particularly good at making a neat job of switch apertures and other filing operations where trueness is important.

The Spar Slotter is made from mild steel with tungsten carbide welded to it. The smooth sides and deep section mean that it will file perfectly straight 6mm slots in carbon fibre (and just about any other material) leaving a smooth edge and neat finish.

The tungsten carbide is incredibly hard wearing and will not lose its edge or wear off. This tool will provide you with years of faithful service and is well worth considering if you have a few slotting or switch fitting jobs to do.

Typisch gebruik

This Spar Slotter is slightly less versatile than a conventional file but on the right jobs it is invaluable. As a Spar Slotter it is of course ideally suited to cutting slots in bonnet scoops or engine bay mods.

Hoe te gebruiken

Open eerst een gat (indien nodig) met een boor of wieltje en gebruik dan de vijl op een conventionele manier om een gleuf of rand af te werken, waarbij je voorzichtig en soepel te werk gaat.
