Information for Formula Student Teams in the EU

At Easy Composites Ltd, we have supported educational competition teams—particularly Formula Student—for many years. We strongly believe that inter-institutional competition plays a vital role in developing the next generation of engineers, designers and innovators.

Although we recognise the importance of securing sponsorship as part of the process, we feel that as a manufacturer and supplier working in such a pivotal sector, we do not want to single-out individual teams for sponsorship at the expense of others. Instead, our approach is to offer all eligible teams a consistent 10% discount across our materials and supplies.

Whilst we work with many teams to help them achieve their goals, we do so on a confidential bases, our only allegiance is towards the goal of helping all teams maximise the effectiveness of advanced composites in their designs.

Over the years, we have supported teams with guidance on pattern-making, mould making, core materials, honeycomb structures, resin infusion, prepreg, bonding and assembly. Whatever your concept, we aim to combine our knowledge and practical experience to give you the best possible chance of turning it into a successful real-world solution.

Who can qualify for discount?

Student teams participating in education sector inter-institution competitions such as Formula Student, F1 in Schools, Greenpower, Eco-Marathon, human power, UAV/UAS/rocketry competitions, endurance racing etc.

Excluded Products

On agreement with the terms of sponsorship, 10% discount can be applied to all products available from Easy Composites (including ECP equipment and starter kits), except for:

• Full roll quantities on any fabric or vacuum bagging consumable
• OV301 Precision Composites Curing Oven
• Any item described as a wholesale quantity (such as full boxes of bagging tape)
• Surplus materials / special offers
• Any situation where there is already discount applied, i.e Kit Deal on vacuum pumps

What we ask for in return

In addition to providing discounted materials, we are always happy to offer technical support and advice over the phone. Where practical, we are even open to the odd 'drop-in' to demonstrate processes or help troubleshoot specific challenges. In return, we ask that you acknowledge Easy Composites in the sponsors or supporters section of your promotional materials. Most importantly, we request a link from your team’s website to the Easy Composites website.
