Low Melt Alloys

In this section of our catalogue you will find a range of Low Melt alloys suitable for casting fusible melt-out mandrels / lost cores for composites moulding.

The most typical application for Low Melt Alloys is in casting solid cores or mandrels for a ‘lost core’ moulding process. Once the composite part has cured, the temperature is increased to above the melting point of the alloy, at which point the core can be easily poured out and re-used.
