Lukas is a Vet from Germany, who in recent years has spend time travelling. Originally building his own camper and featuring it on Youtube, he then wanted to build a Cafe Racer by converting an old 1985 BMW motorbike.
First of all he sourced some foam from a building waste container and then painstakingly sanded and shaped it until he had the perfect shape for the seat. Having watched our XCR Skinning Video, it gave Lukas the confidence to decide that skinning was the process to cover the foam.
Lukas sourced our XCR Skinning Starter Kit and, following the instructions, proceeded to skin the foam seat to give the stunning end result you see here. Lukas is rightly proud of the masterpiece he has created.
Lukas Kiemer is a veterinarian from Germany. Through his passion to constantly discover new unknowns, he has been living outside of Germany for the last 10 years (Lithuania, Spain, Italy and currently Sweden).
Changing location was a struggle for him and to make changing location somewhat easier he decided to convert a delivery van into a modern high-tech camper and documented the entire process on video.
He edited the filmed material into a 30min "Van Conversion Pandemic Project 2022" video and uploaded it to YouTube where it quickly went viral and hit around 2 Million views within 4 months.
He has now move onto working on a café racer.
