This special combination mixed packs of Mirka abrasive papers has been put together by Easy Composites to provide an easy one-pack solution for your composites sanding requirements.

This wet and dry paper pack includes sheets of the grits most commonly used for composites projects and is the perfect alternative to buying multiple larger packs if you simply need a few sheets of each grit. Included in the combination pack is:

• 120 Grit (230x280mm)
• 240 Grit (230x280mm)
• 400 Grit (230x280mm)
• 800 Grit (230x280mm)
• 1200 Grit (230x280mm)

This pack is available in 2 sizes, a smaller pack with a total of 10 sheets of paper and a larger pack containing 50 sheets of paper. Please choose the combination pack size from the drop down box

Waterproof abrasive paper (or Wet and Dry as it is commonly known) is certainly one of the staple products of any composites workshop.

Mirka Waterproof sanding paper is the professional's choice when it comes to wet and dry and is the only paper we use ourselves on our manufacturing side. Although cheaper alternatives are available we have always found that the quality Mirka paper, because it cuts faster and lasts longer actually works out to be more cost effective. More importantly it actually produces far better results than the seemingly cheaper alternatives.

Mirka Waterproof uses a latex impregnated paper as a backing material and extra durable grit binding to prevent disintegration of the paper even during prolonged use. The silicone carbide grit used on the paper is fast cutting and very resistant to clogging (when used with water).

Typical Uses

Mirka Waterproof is recommended for manually wet sanding composites such as patterns/plugs, moulds and finished parts. It is also perfect for wet sanding lacquers and paint finishes prior to finishing with a polishing compound.

Tips and Suggestions

Get the most from your sanding:

• Use the paper in conjunction with a foam sanding block for smooth, flat finishes.
• For best results always progress through all of the grits (120, 240, 400, 800...) without being tempted to miss any out.
• Never move on to the next grit until all the scratches of the previous grit have been removed and only the scratches of the current grit remain.
• Always wash your part and the sanding pad and change the water whenever you change grit.
