Als je denkt dat je elders een gelijkwaardig product goedkoper kunt kopen, neem dan contact met ons op om je wensen te bespreken.
This high temperature sheet wax is ideally suited for a wide range of tooling and mould making applications where a material thickness difference is needed between a pattern and a mould (for example if you wanted to make a snug fitting cover for a part) or a mould and another mould (if you were creating a 'matched mould').
The wax sheet has a very precise thickness, manufactured to precise tolerances and will maintain its thickness well as it is shaped around the contours of your pattern or mould.
As a high temperature sheetwax the wax itself will not melt under typical temperatures created by the exothermic reaction of casting or laminating resins, although it will melt at temperatures in excess of 126°C allowing it to be melted away after the mould surface has cured. Where melting away is not possible, the sheetwax can be removed by scraping it from a mould or pattern's surface using a plastic scraper.
The sheet wax itself is coated with a pressure sensitive adhesive on one side which makes it easy to stick to the mould or pattern as it is laid down. To Buy Sheet Wax choose the thickness from the drop down menu above.

....Would a Stanley or craft knife be ok and is it easy to carve detail into it?
Very easy. Yes, you could certainly use a Stanley knife if craft knife. Also, carving detail into the wax using simple tools would also be very easy.
Generally a mould release agent is not needed or used with sheet wax. The nature of the wax means it can be scraped from the cured mould surface or melted away in some cases.
As stated on the 'Specification' tab, the sheets are 601mm x 305mm.
The adhesive can leave a slight residue on the part or pattern, It is usually very easily cleaned off with a light solvent such as our Easy-Lease Mould Cleaner.
Yes, certainly it is possible to layer the sheet wax to build up the necessary thickness. The adhesive on the sheetwax means it will stick well to itself.
No, we would not recommend spraying or applying either Pattern-Coat Primer or Hi-Gloss to the sheet wax. The nature of sheetwax is that it is very difficult for resins to stick to meaning that when you try to sand the pattern, the resin is likely to break off and spoil the finish.
