FM170 EasyFlow Knitted Infusion Mesh (1250mm)

FM170 EasyFlow Knitted Infusion mesh is a warp knitted polypropylene infusion mesh offering excellent flow media properties in conjunction with outstanding conformability over complex mould specifically as a flow media for more complex mould shapes. EasyFlow will conform over contoured mould surfaces and into tight corners whilst still maintaining excellent resin flow.

• Resin infusion of more contoured or complex mouldings
• Epoxy, polyester and vinylester infusions

FM170 EasyFlow mesh is suitable for infusion projects of almost any size; from small aero components through to vehicle panels, smaller boat hulls and wind energy mouldings.

The soft, knitted structure of FM170 EasyFlow mesh makes it difficult to separate from peel ply once the part is cured and so to aid removal of the bagging consumables from the cured laminate, it is strongly recommended to use a heavily perforated release film between the FM170 EasyFlow mesh and the peel ply.

The material itself is 1.25m wide meaning that each linear metre is equal to 1.25sqm.

The 1.25m width of the mesh means that (except for the folded pack) it is supplied in a 130cm long box. Please be aware that this 'oversize' package can result in higher transport costs for some international destinations. The 5m pack is folded into a small package which avoids this 'oversize' charge.

FM170 EasyFlow mesh is most typically used as a conformable flow media to distribute resin through the laminate during vacuum resin infusion of more complex or contoured mouldings. A typical consumables stack for this process would be peel ply, then P1 perforated film, the FM170 mesh and then the vacuum bag.
