Recycled Non-Woven Carbon Fibre Reinforcements

Carbon fibre reinforcements in this category are manufactured from recycled or reprocessed carbon fibre converted into either nonwoven carbon fibre mat (similar to a chopped strand mat) or as loose chopped carbon fibre tow.

These forms of recycled, non-woven carbon fibre offer advantages in terms of cost and environmental impact but can also be used to produce products with an alternative aesthetic to the conventional woven carbon fibre appearance. The increasingly popular 'forged carbon' look is achieved by compression moulding components using chopped carbon tow reinforcement.
