Specialist Perma-grit hacksaw blade perfect for cleanly and easily cutting carbon fibre and fibreglass. The Perma-Grit hacksaw blade has tungsten carbide grit welded to a mild steel base making it almost unbreakable and has an amazingly long-life.
If you intend to cut carbon fibre or fibreglass by hand, which is often the best way for particularly delicate projects, then the Perma-Grit hacksaw blade is the perfect hacksaw blade for cutting carbon fibre!
This 305mm hacksaw blade is designed for full-size hacksaws. A 'junior' rodsaw blade is also available.
Typical uses
Perma-Grit hacksaw blades are the perfect choice for all hand cutting of carbon fibre and fibreglass and all other composites. The blades will even comfortably cut stainless steel, hardened steel and cable.

How to use
Use the hacksaw blade in a conventional manner, fitted to a full size hacksaw frame (sold at any hardware store or tool shop).
Alternatively, we have successfully used the Perma-Grit hacksaw blade to hand cut large pieces of material using a hacksaw blade grip (where a hacksaw's handle would be in the way of the material you are cutting). This method, although time consuming, would mean that a large piece of flat sheet carbon (such as that for a kit-car dashboard) could be cut without the need for power tools!
