This specially developed inlet filter for vacuum pump is designed to protect a wide range of vacuum pumps from damage caused by particulates such as dust, stray fibres and bagging film fragments often present in an industrial composites manufacturing environment.
The high-quality filter housing is totally airtight and designed to withstand 100% vacuum pressure. The custom made air filter has been selected to capture typical airborne particles and debris whilst offering minimal restriction to airflow.
VF1 is intended to be secured in place somewhere inline before the intake of your vacuum pump. The filter housing uses sturdy hose-tail barb fittings for connection to a 12mm (1/2") ID vacuum hose.
We strongly recommend fitting a VF1 Vacuum Pump Inlet Filter in line with your vacuum pump to prevent damage and ensure a long working life. VF1 is ideal for use with our EC20 Industrial Vacuum Pump but can also be used with our smaller EC4 Compact Composites Vacuum Pump using suitable hose fittings.
VF1 is sold with one filter included. Replacement filters are sold separately.

No, this filter is designed to filter solid particulate matter not liquid matter. If there is a risk of resin entering the pump then we would recommend the use of our Professional Resin Infusion Catch-Pot to prevent liquid entering the pump which would cause significant damage.
