This simple gelcoat spray gun is easy to use and easy to clean. Compared with a normal spray gun the G100 has a much larger 4.7mm nozzle and the 'cup gun' design is more practical for loading and spraying higher viscosity materials such as resins, high-build primers, gelcoats and adhesives.

Professional standard cup gun for the spray application of gel-coat, resin, sandable primers, paints and adhesives.
This easy to use, easy to clean spray gun is designed specifically for high viscosity composites resins and gel coats. The standard FN6 (4.7mm) nozzle is perfect for fast and consistent application of epoxy, polyester and vinylester gel coats, as well as resins, adhesives and pattern-coat primers.
Further Information
How to Use
The cup-gun is designed to spray pre-activated resins and gel coats which means that hardeners or catalysts should be mixed thoroughly into the resin before spray commences. To make cleaning simple the gelcoat gun uses disposable cups to hold the gel coat or resin which is also the ideal place to add and mix the hardener or catalyst. The disposable cup is then loaded into the sturdy outer cup which is the pressed firmly onto the lid/body of the gun and held in place with a spring mechanism.
The grip of the gun has a 1/4" inch NPT female thread and so is easily connected to an air-line using a 1/4" NPT hose-tail barb (sold separately). Although the NPT thread is a US thread and harder to find in the UK/Europe, it is possible to use a 1/4" BSP threaded fitting in the 1/4" NPT of the cup gun. In this case, it is recommended to use BSPT (BSP tapered) fitting and it is essential to use PTFE tape to ensure a reliable seal.
To begin spraying, hold the gun at a distance of approximately 50cm (around 2') from the mould surface and pull the trigger whilst passing over the mould surface in a smooth motion.
When you're done, remove the spring to release the cup, dispose of the paper cup and any excess gelcoat or resin before separating the parts of the gun and rinsing them in acetone.
Air pressure and throughput
The Cup Gun for Spraying Gelcoat should be used with an air feed pressure of between 60 and 100 psi. The gun will use around 5.8cfm at a typical 80 pressure of psi.
Safety Precautions
Spraying any liquid will always create increased vapour/fumes. Always wear a suitable mask and eye/skin protection when spraying.
