Airboats for Film and Special Effects
Unlike American Airboats that often use large engines these use much smaller engines, coupled with weight saving and the use of composite materials the team at Airboat UK are able to get similar performance to much larger powered Airboats.
The Airboat hulls are made from a combination of GRP and composite reinforced with Carbon Fibre and Diolen, and are finished with a coating of epoxy mixed with graphite or milled carbon fibre on the planing surface which helps when driving on land.
Where possible they try to save weight and the latest 'Raptor' Airboat has Carbon fibre seats, engine cover and control panel, not only reducing the weight but also making it look incredible!
